A tailor made package of which can be customized between 2 to 4 days to explore wildlife and forests of Wayanad. The package covers day long hike through rich evergreen forest, high grassland, ethnic villages etc. The tour can be customized to 2 or 3 days walking safari and camping or you can club heritage sites like Edackal caves, Veliyambum and other ruins. Jeep safari in Wayanad Wildlife sanctuary is yet to be professional and not worth to enjoy a forest. So Jeep safari is not included in the package. A five days trip can be customized to club Nagarhole or Mudumalai Tiger Reserve with Wayanad walking safari.

You will be guided to grassland with wide view of Wayanad Mountains and valleys. The camp is overlooking Bhramagiri Hills. It gives panoramic view of the area facilitating sunset and sunrise. The camp is in an elevated tent cabin with attached toilet. We will provide sleeping bags, blankets and mattress. Those who are looking for comfortable accommodation will be provided with home stay or hotel. The very first day you will get a short hike around the grass hill for sunset view. The grass hills is in migration trail of wildlife between Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary and Malabar Wildlife sanctuary.SAFARI DAY- WALKING SAFARI IN RAINFOREST

Wake up early to enjoy the dawn and sunrise. After breakfast you will be guided for a long hike through the rainforest. The forest is Tropical wet evergreen dominated with tall trees attaining 50M plus height. The canopy has four layers and trees are of candle shape. Elephants, Tiger, sloth bear, wild gaur, samabe , panther , Nilgiri langur etc are the dominating species of mammals. There are few pristine water bodies and waterfalls enroute the trail . Return to the grassland in the peak for sunset view.TREK TO THE MOUNT OF SUN

This day you will be guided to the ‘ mount of the sun’ or Suryamudi . It is a peak surrounded by rainforest. The day long trek traverses through a ethnic tribal village, ethnic farms and rainforest. Packed lunch will be provided enroute. After the trek departure transfer to MananthavadiWILDLIFE AND BIRDS

The packages are with transfers from Cochin , Mysore and Coimbatore. Those who plan for own travel arrangements can start the programme from Mazinagudi. An English speaking guide, experienced safari drivers, local guides and trekkers will ground handle your services. Ethnic and freshly cocked food will be provided in the camp.Mazinagudi is famous for its dry forest and evergreen forest birds. Birding enthusiasts will get more birding session for target species.
