Itinerary for 2 nights and 3 days Parambikulam jungle trek and safari

Day 01: (Between 6.30 and 7 am) Our representatives and then we will proceed to Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary and Tiger Reserve. In the afternoon, we will check in at the tented camp. This camps are very comfortable, twin bedded Safari tent fixed inside the Tiger Reserve, with modern attached baths. Located sufficiently away from any habitation, Parambikulam Wildlife Sanctuary & Tiger Reserve offers complete peace and tranquility
1.30 pm: Lunch
2.30 pm : Introduction at Orientation Centre
3.15 pm : Parambikulam Safari through the wildlife zone to spot wildlife. In this trip you can also visit the biggest teak tree-'Kannimara'.
4.45 pm : Tea Break at Paraambikulam lake side. 6.15 pm : Parambikulam Dusk Ride and then return to our base camp. 8.30 pm : Supper will be served.Listening to the wild
6.00 am : Wakeup to the call of Nilgiri Langur and birds. tea/coffee will be served .
6.30 am : Prepare for a birding through the forest
8 am - Breakfast
9.am We will go for Kariyanshola Trail- a three hour walk through the rainforest patches to spot wildlife, birds and other bio-diversity

Day-2

6.00 am : Wakeup call with tea/coffee 6.30 am : We will go for
Kariyanshola Trail. 9.30 am : Breakfast will be served and we can relax
after that.
12.30 : Lunch will be served.
Proceed to stay in Thellikkal forest IB one. The accommodation is deep inside the forest and has to trek on 8 km to reach the spot. The ambience of Thellikkal Nights in absolute forest with a beautiful lake and vayal in front where
one can meet the real tranquility of nature. Two trained tribal trekkers will accompany. Overnight Stay follows at the camp to observe animal movements in the grassland and lake side.
Day-3
Wake up to the call of wildlife. After bed tea prepare for a walk through the waterhole area to spot wildlife. Return to the camp for breakfast. Pack up and return to base station . Check out from the sanctuary and return to Cochin.

Parambikulam Tiger Reserve.

Parambikulam Wildlife sanctuary is the Second Tiger reserve in Kerala.  It is one of the most protected wildlife reserve in western ghats. Surrounded by protected reserves on all sides , this piece of tropical forest harbours the most endangered big cat- the Indian Tiger. Leopard (Black panther  also seen) is  the other species of big cat of the sanctuary. The sanctuary is holding 3 big dams built for diverting water for the mainland. These dams, marshlands, surrounding evergreen and deciduous forests etc constitute a healthy eco-system for carnivores and herbivores animals, birds, reptiles and lesser fauna.  There are about 40 species of mammals are recorded in the sanctuary including Elephant, sloth bear, wildgauar etc.   270 species of birds including many migrants are recoded.   The reptiles includes King Cobra and Mugger crocodile . The eco-tourism profile of the sanctuary is very much enthusiastic for an eco-traveler. With in the ambit of conservation it provides excellent activities with the involvement of people living on this forest , which minimize the pressure on biodiversity.  The safari tent camps provides standard accommodation and services, where as jungle camps offers opportunity to enjoy the nature at close encounters.
